- I have been a fashion designer for over 13 years and have always wanted to have my own studio. Although I loved fashion I grew frustrated with the copycat aspect, every thing and every one looked the same. I had also been designing and making bridal and formal gowns for friends and family and found I loved the fact that I could be really creative with the designs, unlike fashion. I would hear it over and over again from those friends and family members that I should go into business for myself. And so Lizie Nellie was born. Around the same time I started Lizie Nellie a good friend told me about the Business Babes course, it sounded to good to be true, I signed up and haven’t looked back since. The facilitators have been the best friends, teachers, critics and mentors I could have ever wished for. They made me open my mind to look at my new business in ways I would never have dreamt of. It’s because of BiB that I am not just a dressmaker with a business name I am a businesswoman and going to be hugely successful. Not just in Australia but in my home country too and who knows where else.
